About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Emergency Room Nurse

Duration : 16 weeks

Shift : 12-hour Day Shift (0700-1900), flexible to take other shifts as needed

Hours per Shift : 36 guaranteed hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the specialty

License : Registered Nurse license required

Certifications :

• American Heart Association BLS
• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
• TNCC
• Conscious sedation certification (to be obtained through the facility after confirmation)

Must-Have : Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Emergency Room nursing

Description :

The Emergency Department consists of multiple areas for patient care.

Nurses are expected to rotate through various areas regularly.

Assignments may include Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening.

Nurses can expect to be assigned to a different area daily based on patient volume and unit needs.

Nurses may assist with Covid testing or immunization clinics as required.

Shifts typically follow a 7 on, 7 off schedule.

Staffing needs may require flexible shift changes, including day shifts and mid shifts.

Travelers may be asked to float to other departments based on qualifications.

Floating may involve taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties, such as answering call lights or phones.

Holiday coverage is required.

This position does not accommodate specific requests for time off.
