Horizontal Directional Drill Locator

This position will give you the opportunity to visit and work in the state of Washington. You will be working on a rotation that is 21 days on and 7 days off if you are located out of state. While working in Washington, a live out allowance (LOA) will be provided while employed with our "True Blue" team.

You are a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator with industry construction experience. You have knowledge of current construction work safe practices. Essential Responsibilities :

Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and / or on utilities for fiber installation projects

Operate HDD Locator equipment in accordance with company and industry standards

Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor

Install conduit, vaults, and cable work when not locating

Maintain all equipment in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand

Qualifications :

Candidates must possess and maintain a clean driving record and a valid driver's license; those holding a valid CDL are eligible for additional pay in recognition of the enhanced skills and responsibilities associated with the license

Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements

Two years of experience locating for a directional drill or combination of work experience and / or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program

Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures

Must be able to track and communicate daily production and materials

Work Conditions :

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet) and perform work on uneven surfaces

This position will require travel throughout the state of Washington - per diem and travel accommodations will be provided

Compensation

$28.00 - $35.00 USD Hourly

Site or project-based roles may be eligible for additional pay elements

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
