Hands of Heartland is looking for a compassionate and caring individual to work with the people we support as a Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Duties : Work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting them with day to day living activities at our Day Center. Support individuals with planned group-based or individual-focused activities. This position may require transportation for individuals in company vehicles.

Shift Needed : Monday through Friday – 8am - 4pm

Skillset Needed for the Job : Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals.

Requirements : Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Previous experience preferred.

Pay : $19 an hour. More pay for experience and / or a CNA license.
