The Landman will be responsible for assisting in routine to moderately complex land matters for oil and gas exploration and production activities. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the role will manage a drilling and operations schedule that supports the company's goals and objectives. The role involves providing support in the evaluation and acquisition of oil and gas leases including determination of mineral and leasehold ownership. The role reviews title opinion and regulatory requirements, and consults with attorneys, other land professionals, and various stakeholders to resolve title issues, mitigate risks, and streamline processes. The role involves the drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and maintenance of all agreements related to exploration and production, with a strong emphasis on commercial transactional experience, including negotiating, drafting, and closing business deals related to land, mineral, and energy assets.
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business Administration or Law or any other related discipline, and / or commensurate work experience is required.
Experience : 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Leasing and Negotiation, Land Transaction Due Diligence, Contract Drafting, and commercial transactional experience involving acquisitions, divestitures, or other business deals, or a related field.
Certifications : Registered Professional Landman (RPL) (preferred)
