Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift ICU position requiring a PA or Compact RN license and at least two years of ICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a primarily adult patient population
  • Patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 3 : 1 depending on acuity
  • Surgical ICU experience is preferred
  • Floating to other units is required
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • Uses EPIC for electronic charting
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Local candidates accepted with a rate differential
  • Primary duties include providing critical care to adult ICU patients
  • Team-based environment requiring flexibility to float as needed
  • Orientation includes modules, with completion expected in the first eight hours
  • Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled
  • RTO (requested time off) must be submitted up front; additional requests will not be accepted after submission
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered travelers
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated

  • Active PA or Compact RN license required at the time of consideration
  • Minimum two years of ICU experience required
  • Surgical ICU experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
  • Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past two years
  • PA Fingerprints required unless a result from within five years is available
  • All compliance labs and fingerprinting must be completed within specified timeframes
  • Pass / Fail clinical exam required with a maximum of three attempts
