Job Overview

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join the clinical team at the Caro Center . In this role, you will provide nutritional assessment, counseling, and meal planning for individuals receiving inpatient behavioral health services. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by promoting health, recovery, and well-being through evidence-based nutrition care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patients nutritional status and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition therapy into overall treatment plans.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and staff on nutrition, wellness, and dietary management.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility dietary regulations and policies.
• Participate in menu development and oversight to ensure meals meet patient needs and dietary standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with MDHHS requirements.
