Dental Hygienist Job at Sparkling Charms Dental Studio in Baltimore

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric and general dental team on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays. The office is currently closed on Tuesdays. The ideal candidate should have a passion for patient care and a strong commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing preventive dental care to children & adults, educating patients & parents about oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services.

• Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
• Provide direct patient care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and administering fluoride treatments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
• Assist with infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
• Support the dental team with four-handed dentistry during procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding for treatments provided.
• Monitor vital signs as necessary and report any concerns to the dentist.
• Requirements
• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
• Proficiency in patient care and assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of general dentistry practices and infection control standards.
• Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and techniques is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
