American Express Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor

Job Description

As an American Express Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor, this person will provide a specialized group servicing to client travelers that will require high touch service. The Travel Counselor should be prepared to offer a unique level of service, outstanding GDS skills, as well as vast destination knowledge. This Travel Counselor will be accountable for both individual goals, as well as shared team goals, and will be responsible for providing customer service and accurate completion of both international, domestic travel arrangements, as well as special requests.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am - 8pm EST.

  • 2+ years of corporate travel counselor experience preferred
  • Strong international reservations experience
  • Knowledge of multi GDS experience is preferred; Sabre experience is a must
  • Knowledge of American Express Point of Sales (POS) tools; including but not limited to SBP, Quick Exchange, Salesforce.
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • Ability to manage workflow in a highly complex & fast changing environment Displays highest level of integrity when dealing with internal & external customers

The US national base salary range for this position is from $39,200.00 - $72,800.00. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus which rewards participants based on individual and / or company performance.
