Genesis10 is seeking a CIS Business Analyst for a 3-month contract with the possibility to convert to a permanent position with a leading financial services client. This is a 100% remote opportunity. Summary : The CIS Business Analyst will support the Data & Retention Program, acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and implemented effectively. This role involves managing system requirements throughout the full project lifecycle — from scope definition to user acceptance testing — while ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives and compliance standards. This position is remote and may have the potential for temp-to-hire for the right candidate. Responsibilities : Elicit and manage business scope, needs, and system feature requirements for technology projects. Coordinate and facilitate working sessions across multiple departments, including Business, Legal, and Technology. Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for development teams. Document and maintain comprehensive system requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Support Quality Assurance Services (QAS) to ensure requirements are tested accurately and comprehensively. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for supported systems and related processes. Participate in solution design discussions to ensure alignment with business goals and user experience standards. Understand and apply security, risk management, and IT process principles; escalate issues as appropriate. Assist with and / or lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate application releases and user experience quality. Qualifications : Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to creatively solve problems. Experience with Visio or Miro for process mapping and documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and customer-focused environment. Organized and capable of supporting single or multiple initiatives within defined scope, budget, and timeline. Prior business analysis experience in financial services or technology-driven projects preferred.
