Summary

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Network Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. This position is part of a team that provides on-site M&S support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC / ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).

What You Will Do

Candidate will be part of a larger team that addresses overarching systems administration, networking, Information Technology support for a robust integration effort supporting the integration of multiple complex JSE based JITTC-N simulators and advanced JSE Battlespace enclaves with various security levels up to TS and beyond.

• Designs and plans network systems.
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conducts testing of network systems.
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

What You Must Have

Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a related field

Previous DoD simulation Networking experience

RMF knowledge of DISA process

Strong Network Engineering background

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft domain controllers, Virtual Machines (VM), VMWARE, ACAS scanning, STIG compliance and layer 2 and 3 network devices (switches and routers)

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
