About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday-Friday

Hours per Shift : 07 : 00-15 : 30

Experience : Minimum 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred

License : RN License in state of employment or compact

Certifications : BLS and ACLS certifications required

Must-Have :

Current BLS certification required

Current ACLS certification required

One year of experience in a critical care setting preferred

Description :

The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting.

Demonstrates an awareness of relevant aspects of situations encountered.

Provides both routine and complex care to patients.

Has the ability to focus on long-range goals and care plans.

Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage clinical contingencies.

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers to manage the clinical situation.

Meets expectations of applicable competencies.

Consistent with nursing practice standards, provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administers medications and treatments according to established protocols.

Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.

Assesses learning needs of patients and families and provides necessary education.

Identifies issues and resources relevant to patient care.

All newly hired experienced RNs must complete orientation and competency validations.

Completion of annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
