Schedule : Part-time, 2x12 hour rotating shifts (day / night), every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1830 - $1960 per week, based on experience and qualifications.

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN license (New York nursing jobs)

BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in a Med / Surg environment as a Registered Nurse

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Med / Surg unit

Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Provide direct clinical support, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans as needed

Develop specialized skills in cardiac care and telemetry monitoring

Educate patients and families on self-care, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge instructions

Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment

Advocate for patient safety, rights, and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Document care delivery, patient education, and patient responses accurately

Comply with infection prevention strategies and maintain required clinical competencies
