We are looking for you to join our team as a Software Configuration Analyst / Principal Software Configuration Analyst based out of the Linthicum (BWI) area.

What You'll Get To Do

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst / Principal Software Configuration Analyst to help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large- and small-scale programs in accordance with the Organization's Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements.

The Software Configuration Analyst Will Be Responsible For

  • Coordinating / creating configured builds for test and delivery
  • Administration of the SCM tools
  • Facilitate and scribe for control board meetings, creating build and delivery documentation, and process improvement activities
  • Establish and implement procedures to coordinate changes to program data and products
  • Possess understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards as required

This position is contingent upon ability to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or the successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications For a Software Configuration Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with at least 2 years of related experience; Master's with 0 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting.
  • 2 years of professional work experience in software configuration management or within a related area
  • 2 years of experience with coordinating / creating configured builds for test and delivery
  • 1 year of utilizing SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required
  • 1 year of experience with Agile methodology and working as a member of a software development team in an Agile environment
  • A current / active clearance is not required to be considered for the position, but a final clearance is required to start.

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with at least 5 years of related experience; Master's with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 year of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance prior to starting.
  • 5 years of professional work experience in software configuration management or within a related area
  • 5 years of experience with coordinating / creating configured builds for test and delivery
  • 2 years of utilizing SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required
  • 2 years of experience with Agile methodology and working as a member of a software development team in an Agile environment
  • A current / active clearance is not required to be considered for the position, but a final clearance is required to start.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Experience with implementing SCM on a large-scale program
  • Experience with software source control and configuration management tools and environments (Atlassian, Git, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows)
  • Experience in configuring and administering DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Gitlab Pipelines / Runners to streamline CI / CD processes
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell
