GENERAL PURPOSE :

This position will support the Texas Business Unit and Regulatory staff in the preparation and submittal of all required regulatory filings associated with the operations of oil and gas wells. Will work with the Asset and Land teams in the preparation and submittal of the required documents and will be the primary contact with state & regional regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :

• Schedule staking of well with survey company and SM operations personnel.
• Prepare and submit all regulatory filings including but not limited to drilling permits, completions, recompletions, injection permits, plug & abandonment, and rule exceptions with all associated forms.
• Keep current on changes to regulatory requirements and communicate potential impact to various teams and operations. Attendance to workshops and training sessions to maintain knowledge of changing regulations is required.
• Maintain in-house tracking which includes status of permits, completions, and other information relevant to regulatory filings. Provide status updates to Asset Teams to assist in planning of operations activities.
• Research and assist to resolve any compliance issues or questions.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies and provide timely response to all inquiries. Maintaining good relationships with regulatory agencies is essential.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :  Some travel may be required to attend industry-sponsored conferences, training sessions, and field-related visits.
