In these classes, students will learn about interpersonal communication, active listening, time management, and leadership skills. Students will learn time management, financial literacy, disability rights in the workplace, computer applications, job search, and interviewing skills. Students will learn how to complete applications and write resumes, and cover letters.

We would expand on our current work, simulated job rotation, by providing access to gain a variety of employability skills. We would like to provide options for students to further work readiness skills by providing structured exposure for opportunities to practice self-advocacy, social, communication, and interpersonal skills within the school and out in the community. We would like to expand their work readiness and life skills by providing access to presentations, workshops, and / or certifications of interest (i.e. CPR, First Aid, Food Safety, Driver's Education, Disability Awareness, ADA, Financial Literacy etc...) These work-based learning and work readiness training programs will give students valuable experiences. As a result, students will be better equipped and prepared to transition into the workforce.
