Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Managing Director to join and help lead our industry-leading Automotive Investment Banking team.

As a Managing Director in our Industrials / Automotive Investment Banking Group, you will play a vital role in leading strategic client dialogues. You will be responsible for sourcing and executing J.P. Morgan’s Investment Banking products, including M&A, Equity, and Debt. You will collaborate closely with industry and product teams to deliver top-tier Investment Banking solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new clients and executing M&A, Equity, and Debt transactions for sponsors and strategic clients
  • Advising Automotive Companies on integrated financial solutions alongside Industry & Product Bankers
  • Coordinating all deal requests from clients and liaising with internal teams and external consultants
  • Providing timely market intelligence
  • Participating in events to identify new business opportunities and pitch for new clients
  • Leading or supporting meetings with internal partners
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision to team members

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven success in a senior investment banking role with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate concepts and defend ideas
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, synthesizing large amounts of information to develop innovative solutions
  • Adaptability and independence in managing projects, with readiness to assume high responsibility
  • Professional and mature interaction with clients
  • Deep understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large investment banks today
