About the Role :

The Operations & Trading Associate will perform a hybrid role on a midtown NYC broker-dealer trading desk, combining active trading responsibilities with essential operational support. This includes executing and servicing trades for domestic and international accounts—Equities, Options, FX, and Mutual Funds—using Bloomberg EMSX, as well as managing operational tasks such as margin calls, trade confirmations, Buy-ins / DKs, and regulatory reporting including Best Execution reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and service trades for the firm’s domestic and international accounts, including Equities, Options, FX, and Mutual Funds, using Bloomberg EMSX.
• Manage pre- and post-market operational tasks, including margin calls, Buy-ins, DKs, and trade confirmations.
• Prepare and distribute Best Execution reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding trade activity and operational matters.
• Collaborate with trading and operations teams to maintain smooth workflow and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the trading desk with ad hoc operational or administrative tasks as needed.
