Description :

This is a travel position for an RN specializing in Oncology.

The unit has a total of 345 beds and has received three time Magnet designation.

The staff includes both Day Shift RNs and CNAs, as well as Night Shift RNs and CNAs.

The patient ratios are 1 : 5 for both days and nights, which may vary between units.

The typical equipment used includes various types along with EMR - Meditech.

Candidates with strong Tele experience will be prioritized.

Chemo Certification is preferred, as it would allow scheduling on the Oncology unit.

The types of procedures performed on the unit vary and include a large cardiac population.

There are two Tele Floors and a PCU, and staff may float to all inpatient Med / Tele and Rehab units.

Flexibility and willingness to float are essential characteristics for candidates.

Being a team player and exhibiting compassion are also important traits.

This position offers a great learning opportunity to care for patients with diverse medical issues, both acute and chronic.
