About the Practice :

The Retina Institute of Virginia (RIV) is a premier retina practice with two primary offices and three satellite locations across central Virginia, including Richmond, Fredericksburg, Tappahannock, Colonial Heights, and Williamsburg . Our fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologists provide state-of-the-art care for retinal and vitreous diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachment, retinal vascular diseases, uveitis, and trauma . RIV is committed to delivering the highest quality care with exceptional personnel, equipment, and facilities.

Position Overview :

Fellowship-trained Retina / Vitreous Surgeon required (Uveitis training preferred but optional)

Schedule : Monday-Friday with at least one full surgery day ; weekend and holiday rotation shared among providers ( 8-9 weekends / year on-call )

Office Locations : Richmond & Williamsburg

Average Patient Volume : 50 / day

Average Surgical Cases : 6 / week

Support : 5 MD retina-only practice with full support staff, including techs, scribes, and testers

No hospital calls
