Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Cardiac Catheterization

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10-hour days, 4x10s plus call

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience

License : Required to submit

Certifications : ACLS, BLS through AHA

Must-Have : Preferably 2-3 years of experience in both interventional radiology and cath lab, as well as vascular and / or structural heart experience.

Job Description :

• Circulate cases, including administering medications / sedation and monitoring patients through procedures.
• Monitor or scrub if trained to do so.
• Manage a variety of cases, including cardiac / interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology.
• Utilize experience with charting systems and equipment is preferable.
• Maintain and use room equipment, including x-ray / tables, ultrasound, and various equipment for cases.
• Work shifts consisting of four 10-hour days weekly, with regular hours Monday-Friday and a call team covering nights and weekends.
• Typically responsible for 7-10 days of call per month, including one weekend per month.
• Required to cover one summer and one winter holiday, which may be across a weekend or over a couple of days.
• Must respond to calls within 30-minute response time.
• Typically not required to float to other departments unless necessary.
• Follow dress code guidelines by wearing provided scrubs in the cath lab.
• Participate in one day of hospital orientation followed by two days of department-specific orientation.
