Operations Analyst - Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS)

Torch Technologies is seeking an Operations Analyst - Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Operations Analyst to provide advanced analytical and operational expertise in support of JIATF 401 Operations Division Chief, Director, and other senior leaders. The selected candidate will assist in synchronizing and integrating C-sUAS operations across the Joint Force and coordinating a diverse portfolio of systems with Combatant Commands, Military Services, and Federal agencies.

As an Operations Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to :

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the C-sUAS mission and related technologies, ensuring alignment with tactical and operational needs.
  • Provide operational expertise and insight to improve the planning and employment of current and future C-sUAS capabilities.
  • Present complex technical C-sUAS concepts to senior leaders in a tactical and operational context.
  • Assess and analyze C-sUAS capabilities and recommend improvements to operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with planners to incorporate operational insights into mission plans and future concepts.
  • Coordinate with the Policy team to inform and shape policy based on operational realities.
  • Execute staff actions and provide timely, mission-relevant input to JCO leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver written products such as reports, information papers, and executive summaries that articulate and defend JCO positions.
  • Develop and present briefings for leadership, stakeholders, and interagency partners.
  • Represent the JCO in C-sUAS forums, task forces, and working groups as a lead or supporting analyst.
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) from Congress, OSD, Combatant Commands, and other stakeholders.
  • Gather, process, and analyze operational data to support ongoing and future C-sUAS efforts.
  • Identify and recommend emerging technologies or improvements to enhance current operations and mission outcomes.
  • Contribute to updates or development of training materials, system procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to junior analysts; may supervise specific workstreams or tasks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and military operations best practices.

Job Requirements :

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Senior Military Staff experience required
  • 8+ years of related work experience
  • Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required
  • Must have a basic understanding of the Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) mission
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred
  • Schedule : M-F; 8-5

    Work Location : Crystal City, Arlington, VA

    Travel : 10% - 20%
