Instructor - EMS (LTE)

• Develop and maintain course curriculum. Align curriculum to departmental, state, and / or other applicable standards and outcomes.

• Assess student attainment of learning outcomes and critical life skills (both formative and summative), at the course, program, and college level.
• Collect, report, analyze, and use data to support continuous improvement at the course, program and college level.
• Use technology to facilitate student learning, college processes, and personal productivity.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate as a productive member of a team.
• Maintain college learning resources and equipment.
• Participate in recruitment and retention activities.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, maintain occupational competency, and ensure knowledge of current laws and regulations related to the profession(s) in which instruction is provided.

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Current Wisconsin Paramedic Licensure and National Registry Certification as a Paramedic at time of hire. (Exception, if licensed as a paramedic prior to 2013, NREMT requirement is waived).

AHA Instructor status preferred in BLS, ACLS and PALS disciplines.

Supplemental Information

The Instructor - EMS (LTE) position is part of the Fire & EMS Training department in the School of Protective and Human Services and will report to the Associate Dean. This position may teach in all EMS programs but primary workload would be in the Paramedic program.

This position is a Full Time, Limited-Term Employment (LTE) with an end date of June 30th, 2027 .

This position requires Wisconsin residence.Hours This is a full-time instructor position on a flexible year-round calendar.
