About The Position

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon, starting Mar 2, 2026. This full-time opportunity features a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, with one week of 24-hour call each month. The successful candidate will join a Level III trauma center and provide high-level first assist services within a dynamic surgical environment. Experience with Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide first assist support in orthopedic surgical procedures at a Level III trauma center
  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Manage daily clinical responsibilities in collaboration with the orthopedic surgery team
  • Respond to trauma cases and assist with surgical interventions as needed
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and workflow management
  • Additional Information

  • Must hold an active Physician Assistant license in Oregon
  • Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery required
  • Experience with trauma and orthopedic surgical cases strongly preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
