The group handles cases involving international tax and transfer pricing, IRS and DOJ proceedings, and high-stakes litigation before federal courts. With an integrated global platform, the team partners closely with in-house tax departments, accounting firms, and regulatory authorities to deliver strategic, business-oriented solutions.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a skilled associate to join its Tax Controversy practice in Palo Alto or San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have experience managing sophisticated tax disputes and assisting with litigation involving multinational entities or complex domestic matters. Attorneys with prior experience at law firms, accounting firms, or government agencies (IRS Chief Counsel, DOJ, or Tax Court) are strongly encouraged to apply. This position offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients, develop litigation strategy, and work collaboratively with colleagues across practice areas. A background in accounting or economics is helpful but not required.
