As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Baton in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service and communicating clearly with those you encounter. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing conflict resolution skills.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for suspicious behavior.

Identify and report security-related concerns or hazards found during patrols, escalating issues according to site protocols.

Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and / or contractors, providing assistance and information as needed.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements for armed personnel within a government environment.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state, county, or city regulations.

Baton certification and handcuffing certification are preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
