Schedule 12-hour night shifts, with weekend requirements every other weekend. Job Description The RN in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit will provide care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs. This role requires the ability to float among Telemetry units and potentially assist with ED HOLD patients. RNs must be able to handle a range of patient diagnoses within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards. Monitor and assess patient health status, including vital signs and telemetry readings. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to manage patient care activities. Perform unit-specific procedures such as IV placement, blood draws, and glucose monitoring. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required. AHA BLS certification is required; CMSRN certification is preferred. Experience with NIH Stroke Scale is required. Active NY State RN license or proof of application required at submission.
