Overview
The Electrical VPE Salaried Bargaining Union Engineer is responsible for :
- Developing manufacturing processes by designing electrical test equipment, modifying equipment or test software for Stellantis assembly plants.
- Designing electrical testing methods for testing finished products and system capabilities.
- Install and verify industrial tooling from various tooling suppliers.
- Diagnosing vehicle assembly, vehicle module software and tooling to root cause issues.
- Work with vendors to define electrical systems and write specifications to suppliers to procure equipment and tooling for implementation during new vehicle launches.
- Conduct in-vehicle assembly including timelines, procurement, design and specification, and implementation.
- Schedule, plan, monitor, and report key performance indicators and activities.
- Work with multiple departments to complete projects and / or tasks.
- Manage multiple tasks and stay on track.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; or in another related discipline or 7 or more years of experience developing and implementing electrical systems.Ability to work overtime and travel as required (Domestic US).Self-motivated and works well in a team environment.Excellent communication skills - both orally and in writing.Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint.Excellent to advanced level in Excel.Must possess the ability to be flexible in work assignments.Preferred Qualifications
