Omni-Pump Repairs is seeking a skilled Field Sales Engineer - Fluid Handling Systems to lead the charge in delivering customized pump, motor, and control system solutions to commercial, industrial, and government clients. This full-time, on-site position in Franklin Park, IL offers the chance to blend your engineering background with sales strategy to create powerful results for customers across critical infrastructure sectors. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives on solving complex challenges, driving P&L performance, and building long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new clients while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
  • Provide engineering-based consultations and system solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Assemble and present technical submittals, proposals, and pricing structures.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and field teams to develop turnkey pumping system packages.
  • Track market trends and competitor activities to drive strategic growth.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation through project handoff and beyond.
  • Support project profitability goals through effective quoting and margin control.

Qualifications

  • Required : 3+ years of experience in sales and engineering of pumps, motors, and control systems
  • Strong understanding of pumping systems and related mechanical applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to create proposals, technical submittals, and pricing estimates
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Preferred : Experience with clients in sectors like water treatment, HVAC, energy, or municipal systems
  • Familiarity with sales tools, CRM platforms, and project tracking systems
  • Ability to analyze and achieve sales and profit targets independently
