Are you passionate about safety? CHS, Inc is in search for a HazGas Safety Specialist to provide expertise in our propane businesses. This position will assist in the oversight of propane safety programs, provide technical support on safety matters to our employees, review and implement policies to ensure compliance of federal, state, and local regulations. This is an on-site position based out of WA, that will be expected to travel 30%-60% for on-site visitations.

We could also consider candidates with a location in MT or OR, where CHS Ag Retail offices are located.

Compensation Data\n

Hiring Range : $83,500-$139,500

Responsibilities \n

• Working knowledge of NFPA 54 & 58
• Conduct effective EH&S related training for employees, contractors, and public
• Conduct complex EH&S related audits at propane bulk plants and dispensing stations
• Communicate EH&S related requirements and expectations to other departments and personnel to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe work environment
• Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of all required employee safety training, including but not limited to PEP (Propane Education & Research Council’s Certified, Employee Training Program), and support the adoption of technology-based learning platforms
• Be a change agent by introducing new processes, systems, or ideas, and guiding others through the change
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned
