Job Summary :

  • The Pega Consultant will serve as the technical authority on the design, development, configuration, and optimization of Pegasystems applications within the IRS EFS production environment.
  • The consultant will lead solution architecture, technical guidance, and release development for EFS Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
  • The Pega Consultant will be performing work at IRS New Carrollton Federal Building (NCFB) located at 5000 Ellin Rd, Lanham, MD 20706 as required.

    • Salary :

  • $178,000-$182,000 Responsibilities / Duties :
  • Design and implement scalable Pega solutions to support Taxpayer Services workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership in development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Lead application upgrades, bug fixes, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IRS stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional Pega components.
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding best practices.
  • Conduct performance tuning and ensure security compliance for all deployments.

    • Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience with Pegasystems application development, including production-level systems.
  • Expertise in Pega PRPC architecture, integrations, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile software development lifecycle and IRS / Federal systems environments.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, SQL, and middleware integrations.

    • Education / Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) required.
