The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing general and preventative care, conducting check-ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests and prescribing medication for children and adults. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.

Essential Functions :
- Performing physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses
- Administering and performing diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests
- Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
- Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.
- Educating and counseling patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care
- Facilitating the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g., admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Planning and managing patient care according to the patient’s needs
- Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA, OSHA, etc.
- Actively maintaining knowledge of current medical research and trends
Required Skills / Abilities :
Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers, and collaborate with team membersMust be able to think critically, evaluate various options to treat a condition and then identify the one he or she decides will have the best outcome.Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced yet friendly environmentMust be well organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibilityProven ability to handle confidential information with discretion concerning health service records and informationEducation and Experience :
Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure requiredGraduate degree from an accredited nursing program, such as a Master of Science in nursingMust have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of practiceEmployee Health Benefits
