Special Olympics Swim Coaches are responsible for all aspects of practices and competitions for Special Olympic Swimming events.
- Schedules coaches for practices and competitions throughout the state.
- Ensures that all medical forms are current and on hand at all events.
- Drives Board-owned van to transport athletes.
- Oversees entire program and provides coverage for other coaches who may be absent.
- Works with program volunteers.
- Coordinates practices, and secures facilities for practices and games.
- Prepares and distributes needed information to participants and caregivers, and sends copies to the Special Olympic Coordinator.
- Plans for state competitions - including attending meetings as requested by the Special Olympics Coordinator.
Team player, prior coaching experience with a swim team, organizational abilities, planning and follow through a must.
Valid Ohio driver's license and excellent driving record.
