About the Role
EMSAR is seeking seasoned Biomedical Equipment Engineer I who are resourceful, independent and have an innate desire to treat their territory like it is their own business. This role will perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of biomed equipment / devices. We supply tools, paid training and fleet vehicle.
Responsibilities
Perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of general, specialized and / or high-tech medical equipment and systems.Interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established SOPs (standard operating procedures).Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on designated modality, while working within the established procedures.Demonstrate proper methods and techniques of installation, calibration, preventative maintenance and repair troubleshooting.Effectively triage work orders and establish priority to meet contractual commitments.Interact and communicate with internal and external customers.Submit timely and accurately; service reports, time sheets, expense reports, and other paperwork as assigned.Maintain the daily back-order report, cycle count and shipping needs of the facility.Other projects as assigned.Ability to be a self-starter and manage your own work to meet the needs of our customers.Flexible for occasional overnight travel.Additional relevant responsibilities as issued by manager.Qualifications
Biomed certification / degree or completion of DoD Biomedical Equipment Repair School or equivalent experience preferredor
5-7 years biomed experience in lieu of degree.Required Skills
Excellent internal and external customer relations and interpersonal skills.Experience in exercising expert judgement in complex repair, maintenance and calibration of scientific equipment.Knowledge of the application of software and how it interfaces with equipment.Knowledge of current regulatory requirements.Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic equipment.Equal Opportunity Statement
