BANK ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER II POSITION SUMMARY
Areas of responsibility for this position are :
- Creating / mentoring an advisory-focused team to support customer growth.
- In conjunction with the Branch Manager (where applicable), maintains the operational soundness of the branch in accordance with policies and procedures, and federal / state regulations.
The Assistant Branch Manager II is also responsible for overseeing and performing Universal Banker I, Universal Banker II, and Universal Banker III duties. The Assistant Branch Manager II may also act as Branch Manager in the Branch Managers absence.

Complete scheduling for all Universal BankersSupervise and provide work direction to all Universal BankersPerform cash drawer audits, conduct performance appraisals, and facilitate new employee training and / or mentoringCoach and mentor Universal Bankers in production and growth-related activitiesAttract business and consumer relationships through internal and external sales and customer service strategiesExpand existing business and consumer relationships through sales and customer service strategies.Oversee and perform Universal Banker I, II, and III duties, including consumer lendingServe as a point of contact / have working knowledge of troubleshooting and servicing coin machines, money handling machines, ATMs / ITMs, and mechanics of the drive-up equipment (as applicable in each location)Maintain an open level of communication with the Branch Manager, Regional Retail Leader, and / or Market PresidentAssist with more complex customer issuesAssist Retail leaders with other duties as neededRequirements :
BANK ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS :
Education
High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience
One to three years of banking or cash handling experience preferredLeadership / people management experience preferredOther Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy; basic keyboarding skills are requiredStrong math skills; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureExceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employeesAbility to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situationsExceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to function well in a fast-paced environmentMaintain a complete understanding of regulatory and compliance policies and proceduresDemonstrate a lead by example mentalityBe able to work flexible hours and shiftsTravel to / from and work in multiple locationsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for supervising staff in accordance with the banks policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and taking corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
