Position Details
Schedule : Full-time nights | 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours)
Weekends / Holidays : Rotating | No call
Credentialing : 23 months
Geographic Differential : 8% for the medical center
Requirements
Certification : AGACNP required
Experience :
2+ years RN or NP Critical Care required (Cardiology preferred)
New NPs must have 2+ years of ICU RN Critical Care experience
Prior Heart Failure population experience (RN or NP) required, even if from a mixed ICU
Training Provided : Devices training available

Mechanical Circulatory Support
Heart Transplant
Lung Transplant
LVAD
Post-op Cardiac Surgery
Role Summary
As a Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive patient care through systemic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and in-hospital follow-up. This role directly impacts patient care throughout the disease process and is carried out in alignment with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and Client standards of care.
