Overview
FBS Tire Recycling, Inc., based in Ayer, Massachusetts, has challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Manufacturing Operations Manager / Engineer. FBS is a leading tire recycling company serving the Northeast, collecting used tires throughout New England, New York and Pennsylvania, and recycling them through a state of the art, PLC driven tire recycling processing system.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager / Engineer to be responsible for the overall operation of the tire processing facility to meet company production, quality, customer, and environmental and safety goals.

Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Operations Manager / Engineer will have the following specific responsibilities :
Learning the existing tire processing equipment and systems.Developing and implementing new manufacturing equipment, processes and technologies to support the company's strategic objectives and meet key performance measures.Ensuring that the facility and equipment are ready to accept incoming materials and that quality products are transported to customers on schedule.Seeking continuous improvement.Selecting, training, leading, coaching, and developing employees to ensure the best possible workforce, including effective performance management.Working with safety and environmental consultants and contractors to ensure that all site operations are in full compliance with all applicable safety and environmental requirements.Creating standardized processes including all documentation to ensure maximum quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.It should be noted that approximately two-thirds of the position will be administrative / management responsibilities; the other one-third will be hands on work helping to run the facility.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.At least five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing / production environment, including a record of data analysis and continuous improvement.Proven leadership skills and a results-oriented management style.Training and / or experience in LEAN methodologies.Project management experience and skills.Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills.Advanced computer skills relevant for data collection and management, using specialized software as needed.Experience operating heavy equipment, or willingness to be trained in heavy equipment operation.Interested applicants should apply with a resume and cover letter specifying salary requirements to laurie@lbouchardllc.com
