Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Greets patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
• Maintains patient confidentiality, respect, and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
• Assists patients and providers preparing with examinations, minor procedures within the office, phlebotomy and / or collection of specimens.
• Performs blood pressures, vital signs, and physical assessment of patient through triage Performs ancillary testing as ordered by providers.
• Completes clear, accurate documentation within the patient medical record.
• Maintains all clinical areas with supplies necessary to function daily. Keeps exam rooms and work areas within the office clean and sanitary at all times.
• Assists with making patient appointments outside of the office.
• Assists with telephone triage, refilling prescription medication as directed by providers.

Scheduled Hours : 40 hrs / wk

Work Shift : M - F 8 am 4 : 30 pm

Education Required : HS diploma or equivalency is required. Certification as Medical Assistant and / or completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred.

Licensure / Certifications : BLS within six weeks of hire.

Experience : Medical office experience preferred. Applicants with a healthcare background (such as nurse assisting or medical assisting) will be considered with / without MA Certification.
