About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Active Texas RN License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• General ICU experience
• Titration of drips

Description :

Unit Specifics :

There are 12 beds on the unit.

Patient ratios are typically 2 : 1, with 3 : 1 for lower acuity situations.

Unit staff includes unit secretaries and charge nurses.

Common equipment used includes devices typical for ICU settings.

Documentation is managed through an electronic system.

Job Requirements :

All candidates will be required to float as necessary.

Certifications needed include ACLS and BLS.

Preferred skills include neuro ICU experience and advanced assessment capabilities.

Familiarity with specific procedures like A-line placement, central lines, chest tubes, and cardioversion is advantageous.

Dress Code :

Scrubs must be navy in color.

Hair should be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors.

Facial hair must be neatly trimmed.

Tattoos should be covered whenever possible.

Visible piercings, other than ears, are prohibited.

Additional Policies :

Floating guidelines and attendance policies are in place.

Compliance with all unit guidelines is expected.
