I&E Technician (Instrumentation & Electrical)

The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician will support work through a combination of sustaining activities and engineering projects, including new product development. Under supervision, the I&E Technician performs a variety of engineering work in planning, installing, monitoring, and maintaining control systems and machinery.

• Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays, etc
• Inspect, repair, replace transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, and electrical systems
• Work with a wide variety of instruments including, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc
• Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets, and wire lists
• Perform all duties in a manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies
• Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns
• Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns
• Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems including low voltage 24VDC to 480VAC
• Work from instrument drawings and P&ID's, identify end devices and components
