Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Burlington, Vermont (05401) – Vermont healthcare jobs

Assignment Length : 31 weeks (10 / 20 / 2025 – 5 / 24 / 2026)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Setting : Operating Room (OR) – Level 1 Trauma Center

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call; flexibility required

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,310 - $2,470

Holiday Requirement : Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)

Orientation : Bi-weekly on Mondays; next available start 10 / 20 / 2025

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont nursing jobs

BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

Experience in a large Level 1 Trauma Center

Recent EPIC EMR experience (within past 2 years) mandatory

Ability to both circulate and scrub (skills checklists required)

Proficiency in general OR, ortho, urology, oncology, Da Vinci robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma cases

Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (no public transportation)

Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April

All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

Complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced operating room

Circulate and scrub for diverse surgical procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

Demonstrate expertise in trauma, ortho, neuro, CVT, and specialty surgeries

Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care coordination

Participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts as scheduled

Maintain flexibility for rotating shifts and holiday requirements

Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and quality standards
