Design Engineer (Structural)
We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Design Engineer in the Structural Services Division.
Duties / Responsibilities :
This position supports the mission of the Structures Division by collaborating with the licensed engineer and preparing engineering designs or evaluations for various projects. They will be a part of the design team in the execution and management of projects.
- Perform structural evaluation of existing buildings and components and prepare engineering reports.
- Utilize software to perform structural design and / or analysis of footings, foundations, beams, columns, floor assemblies, and lateral bracing in various materials including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood.
- Prepare bid specifications and contract documents for new construction and repair projects, including the preparation of supporting construction documents or details.
- Perform progress inspections of construction projects and prepare construction observation reports.
- Perform inspections of structural damage and prepare detailed engineering analysis reports.
- All aspects of project management, including communication with project inspectors, technicians, and clients.
