Electrical Engineer

Overview

Join our team as an Electrical Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in sourcing obsolete components and finding equivalent components for our legacy customers. You will review Bills of Materials (BOMs), test, debug, and repair electronics, and act as a liaison between internal PCB testers and external customers including third-party inspectors. Your expertise will be crucial in performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting boards that are failing. Additionally, you will be involved in PCB layout, data entry for quoting, and SMT machine programming.

Responsibilities

• Source obsolete components and find equivalents for legacy customers.
• Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Test, debug, and repair electronic components.
• Act as a liaison between internal PCB testers and external customers.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot failing boards.
• Perform PCB layout tasks.
• Enter data for quoting purposes.
• Program SMT machines.

Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based, with some time spent on the floor. The environment is clean, spacious, and well-lit. The position requires the ability to stand and sit for extended periods, with visual acuity necessary for handling small parts. The ideal working hours are 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM or 7 : 30 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, onsite. Depending on the candidate's experience and commute, there may be the possibility of one day working from home or working four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
