Position Description

We\'re seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to drive manufacturing excellence and operational innovation at our South Carolina facilities. You\'ll lead cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, implement lean manufacturing practices, and spearhead facility expansion projects. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering expertise, offering the opportunity to shape the future of American manufacturing while building and developing high-performing engineering teams.

What You\'ll Do

Lead new production line setup and optimize warehouse operations using data-driven methodologies

Design and implement scalable production and quality processes across our SC facilities

Spearhead facility expansion projects, establishing world-class manufacturing capabilities

Oversee critical projects from conception to completion, providing executive leadership with comprehensive status reporting and analysis

Implement lean manufacturing practices through hands-on Gemba walks and assessments

Lead cross-functional automation initiatives to optimize production efficiency and quality

Partner with Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Quality teams to drive process improvements and new product development

Ensure operational excellence across the entire value chain—from supply chain to final product delivery

Create an inspiring workplace culture aligned with Element\'s mission of innovation and accessibility

Develop talent through structured performance management, goal setting, and career development planning

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineering professionals

Foster collaboration across departments to achieve ambitious company objectives

Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience

7+ years of progressive engineering experience with at least 3 years in management roles

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements

Strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels

What Will Set You Apart

Lean Manufacturing expertise (Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S certifications preferred)

Advanced project management skills (PMP, Agile, or similar certifications a plus)

Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies

Track record of successful facility startups or expansions

Bilingual capabilities (Spanish / English) to support our diverse workforce

Military leadership experience or other diverse leadership backgrounds

Additional Information

Full-time position with standard Monday-Friday schedule (on-site)

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support operations and project deadlines

Work authorization required : Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Position duties may evolve to meet business needs and support operational excellence

Ability to work in manufacturing environments including production floors and warehouses
