Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide visionary leadership to assigned operations, ensuring corporate goals and values are clearly communicated, understood, and achieved.
- Develop, analyze, and present strategic manufacturing plans, including capacity expansion, cost optimization, and technology adoption.
- Set, measure, and achieve plant and business unit efficiency, productivity, and quality goals.
- Define, track, and report production metrics (e.g., throughput, OEE, quality yield, cost per unit, scrap rates, labor efficiency, and capacity utilization) to senior leadership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices to reduce costs, improve throughput, and enhance quality.
- Foster innovation in technology, automation, and software to advance manufacturing processes and maintain competitive advantage.
- Direct development and enforcement of operational procedures, working standards, and best practices across all facilities.
- Partner with Business Unit Leaders, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to align operational strategies with customer needs and long-term business objectives.
- Forecast and manage operating budgets, capital investments, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate, plan, and recommend capital equipment and technology investments to ensure efficiency, scalability, and innovation in production.
- Lead, grow, and mentor cross-functional teams across all assigned locations to ensure effective collaboration, capability development, and succession planning.
- Drive organizational alignment and accountability by cascading goals and measuring progress against operational KPIs.
- Oversee analysis of returned materials, manufacturing errors, and process failures, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Act as a key liaison between plants, corporate functions, and executive leadership.
- Champion safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance with all Grayhill standards and applicable regulations.
- Direct and develop managers, supervisors, and professional staff across entire plant.
- Responsible for overall leadership, coordination, and results of cross-functional teams across locations.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and addressing complaints or problems
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field strongly preferred.Fifteen (15) years progressive experience in operations or manufacturing leadership.Strong background in manufacturing engineering, lean operations, and production systems.Experience developing and reporting operational metrics and implementing performance management systems.Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and deliver measurable business results.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Manufacturing Enterprise (preferably SAP) software.What we have to offer :
