About the Role

We are a dynamic and fast-growing startup team seeking a skilledSenior Consumer Electronics Lab Technicianto join us. In this role, you'll be instrumental in testing and validating the quality and reliability of electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and hydraulic systems used in our innovative consumer electronic products. You'll work independently and collaboratively to support product development through hands-on testing, fixture design, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

  • Execute Testing Protocols : Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical tests on parts, subassemblies, and finished products to validate design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose : Identify and resolve issues in prototypes and production units, contributing to root cause analysis and product improvement.
  • Fixture Development : Build and instrument test fixtures using CAD and 3D printing tools, with guidance from engineering.
  • Support Test Automation : Assist in implementing automated test systems and contribute to improving testing workflows.
  • Document Results : Maintain clear and accurate records of test procedures, results, and design iterations.
  • Maintain Equipment : Calibrate and maintain lab equipment to ensure consistent and reliable testing.
  • Lab Operations : Help organize and maintain the lab environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support product development and testing.
  • Suggest Improvements : Propose enhancements to testing methods and lab processes based on hands-on experience.

  • You proactively identify and resolve issues in prototypes and production units, contributing to product quality and reliability.
  • You build and maintain robust test fixtures and systems that streamline validation processes.
  • You collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and resolve technical challenges.
  • You maintain a well-organized and efficient lab environment that supports rapid development and testing.
  • You contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing enhancements to testing procedures and equipment.
  • You document processes and results clearly, enabling traceability and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • What You'll Bring

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in lab testing, validation, or technician roles in consumer electronics or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and hydraulic components.
  • Proficiency with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience with CAD software and 3D printing for fixture design.
  • Familiarity with basic programming or scripting for test automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-driven and adaptable in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • This is a full-time position based out of our El Segundo office, following a hybrid schedule. While some remote flexibility is available, we place a strong emphasis on onsite presence for collaboration, team engagement, and hands-on work.
