Supply Chain Planning And Analytics Specialist
We have a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning and Analytics Specialist to join our Supply Chain team.
The Supply Chain Planning and Analytics Specialist plays a pivotal role in leading the site's planning processes and in supporting the strategic development of the Supply Chain department. The primary focus is on accurate forecasting, proactive capacity management, and timely introduction of supply chains for both new and existing products. This position aims to deliver robust end-to-end planning processes aligned with business goals, while continuously monitoring and addressing upstream risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the site's forecasting activities, integrating demand signals into actionable supply and inventory plans.
- Oversee the Monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to synchronize supply and demand, ensuring accurate long- and short-term forecasts.
- Support the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross functional & global partners, focusing on the alignment of supply, demand, and forecast accuracy.
- Conduct capacity planning and scenario analysis, identifying any gaps in resource or capacity.
- Define and govern safety stock policies in line with best-in-class inventory management and forecast error rates.
- Support all aspects of planning, including MPS (Master Production Schedule), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and transitions for New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Report on and analyse planning and operations performance metrics, using forecasting KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Drive the adoption of OPEX / Lean initiatives, with a focus on enhancing forecast reliability and operational efficiency.
- Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging forecasting insights to improve service levels and strategic alignment.
Supervision Received :
Reports to the Associate Director Supply Chain.Operates with significant autonomy within the scope of the role, with goals reviewed regularly, including annual formal performance reviews.Supervision Provided :
Guides cross-functional and cross-site supply chain groups towards data-driven decision making and high standards in business systems usage.Sets and enforces data integrity standards for supply chain business systems.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business discipline required.Experience :
Minimum 3 years in planning, preferably in supply chain or manufacturing environments with a strong forecasting component.At least 5 years' total experience in Manufacturing or Supply chain.Proven experience in forecasting, S&OP, Capacity planning, and or inventory management.Demonstrable success in process improvement initiatives.Proficient with MRP / ERP systems, especially SAP.Experience in cross-functional team environments.Skills and Competencies :
