Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. The RN serves as the primary or accountable nurse as designated, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources.Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with United Health Services policies.Promote productivity and efficient use of resources, including staffing, time, supplies, and services.Maintain compliance with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.Actively participate in the Nursing Shared Governance Model , including unit councils, performance improvement, and peer review.Engage in professional development, mandatory education, and evidence-based nursing practice.Support onboarding and education of new staff and students.Demonstrate and uphold United Health Services values in all interactions.Perform other duties as assigned.Common Diagnoses Managed

5+ years of direct Medical / Surgical nursing experience.Prior acute care or ambulatory setting experience.Management or leadership experience (0–3 years).Education
Required : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).Licensure & Certifications
Required :Current New York State RN License
BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)Compliance with all unit-specific credentialing requirementsPreferred :Professional nursing specialty certification
