Are you a strategic sales leader ready to make an impact across multiple markets? Knapheide Truck Equipment is looking for a Sales Manager reporting to the General Manager of Illinois & Missouri to lead our growing sales team, drive profitability, and build lasting customer relationships across our Quincy, IL

  • St. Louis, Mo
  • Jefferson City, MO territories. This position requires up to 50% regional travel to meet customers and support sales team member travel and provides occasional remote work flexibility.

  • What you'll be doing :

  • Leading and mentoring a team of 13 sales professionals, including specialists in Municipal and Utility markets.
  • Driving strategic growth by setting and achieving sales and profitability goals.
  • Building long-term relationships with telecom companies, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and other capital equipment customers.
  • Overseeing quoting processes, bid development, and margin management.
  • Supporting marketing efforts through trade shows, events, and promotions.
  • Coaching sales team members through joint customer visits and weekly meetings.
  • Managing sales operations including inventory, allocations, and warranty support.
  • Experience you'll need :

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent job-related experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proven success in capital equipment sales and high-growth environments.
  • Strong CRM and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing or similar productivity programs.
  • A customer-first mindset aligned with Knapheide's "Never Settle" philosophy.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
  • A professional, hands-on approach and strong work ethic.
