LOCATION : Travel through Various locations throughout Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Hardee & Highlands Counties.
JOB SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for the case management and vocational evaluation of individuals referred by various sources for vocational evaluation services. This position must work cooperatively with various staff at all locations as well as personnel at locations where Shoreline Psychological Services provides space for program services, such as local schools, Workforce centers, etc. Shoreline Psychological Services, LLC, is a private practice providing psychological services to a broad range of clients. We specialize in diagnostic assessment and vocational evaluation services. The main office is located in St. Petersburg, Florida with several satellite offices in the region. Initial training on the administration of psychological measures and other job duties will be provided by Shoreline Psychological Services while you are a salaried trainee. Upon successful completion of training, and demonstration of skills as a trained vocational evaluator assistant, you will be eligible for promotion into the full vocational evaluator assistant position.
The evaluator is accountable to the vocational evaluator and supervisor of Shoreline Psychological Services for the discharge of duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Conducts the initial interview with assigned clients at first meeting. Requests pertinent background information as necessary, i.e. school transcripts, medical / psychological reports, etc. using release of information form(s). Notifies Shoreline staff of admit / no show via telephone or e-mail.
2. Assists in writing vocational evaluation report based upon referral information, the initial interview and the stated purpose of the program by both the client and the referring counselor; assures participation of the client in the development of the vocational goal, answer questions in the referral form (if provided); identifies questions to be answered through Evaluation
3. Assures case notes are maintained in in house files. Assures that all pertinent material such as pertinent background materials, score reports, and final report, is uploaded into the digital case record. Maintains client records as recommended by HIPAA.
4. It is imperative that the evaluator assistant be consistently aware of and adhere to the time frames for scheduling of referrals, implementation and completion of planning and testing, and the gathering and submission of timely case notes, documentation, reports and final summaries. Any potential deviation from standard procedures and time lines must be communicated to and approved by the vocational evaluator prior to implementation.
5. Greeting clients and discussing intake paperwork
6. Administering psychological measures, such as achievement tests, under close supervision by the licensed professional.

8. Entering scores into report templates
9. Observe and document client behaviors
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
1. Attends appropriate staff and in service training meetings.
2. Performs other duties as assigned, and as approved by Shoreline Psychological Services Supervisor.
3. Assigns and observes clients at their work stations during simulated job station assignments in Vocational Evaluation. Creates work reports and obtains performance feedback from supervisors.
4. Assists in the development of local community worksites for Worksite Evaluations by explaining the Vocational Evaluation program and promoting the benefits of participation to potential employers.
5. Occasional transcribing psychologist or vocational evaluator notes.
6. Maintains professional presentation conducive to good relationships with referral sources.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
This position requires the individual :
1. Meet one of the following :
1. Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling / Rehabilitation Services, Social Work (Clinical), Human Services, Counseling (clinical), Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology and one year of full-time experience using vocational rehabilitation counseling techniques.
Or
2. Bachelors degree in Rehabilitation Counseling / Rehabilitation Services, Social Work (Clinical), Human Services, Counseling (clinical), Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology and one year of full-time experience using vocational rehabilitation counseling techniques.

CREDENTIALS / LICENSES / SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
1. Subject to alcohol and drug testing as specified in Drug Free Workplace Program.
2. A Level 2 background screening, as defined by 435.04 Florida Statutes, will be completed as a condition of employment and continued employment. The security background screening shall include, but not be limited to : 1) employment history checks, 2) fingerprinting for statewide criminal history checks through the Department of Law Enforcement and national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and 3) may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies. Employment is contingent upon approval by the Department of Children and Families, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, and documentation of freedom from any criminal history. Further, such checks may be processed at any time during the course of employment.
Re-screening will occur every five years or at Shoreline Psychological Services discretion.
3. Non-Client Transporting Possess a valid Florida Driver's License, subject to a DMV records check and approval by GIS insurance carrier. Possess a privately owned vehicle or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment's notice, that may not be accessed by public transportation.
