Director Of Construction Operations
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director Of Construction Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of field operations across multiple commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving project performance, and aligning construction execution with company goals. Key Responsibilities :
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations across all active job sites.
- Develop and implement standardized processes for project delivery, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure consistent execution.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Align construction operations with company growth objectives and strategic initiatives.Forecast resource needs and manage workforce planning across projects.Lead operational reviews and performance evaluations to drive continuous improvement.Team Development & Culture
Recruit, mentor, and develop field leadership and project teams.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.Promote professional development and succession planning within the operations team.Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and preconstruction planning.Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.Financial Oversight
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and profitability metrics.Collaborate with finance and estimating teams to ensure accurate forecasting and cost control.Review change orders, subcontractor agreements, and vendor performance.Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.Manage risk mitigation strategies across all operational activities.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, including field operations and project management.Proven leadership experience managing multiple large-scale projects and teams.Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and safety protocols.Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, Bluebeam, MS Project).OSHA 30 certification required; PMP, CCM, or LEED credentials are a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $180000.00 / yr.
